Maurice shows how to strategize your way to success, treating every challenge as a move in your winning game plan.

    So much for women in leadership. This criminal conglomerate's top leadership is ALL arrogantly dismissive women making $10M/yr, seemingly concerned only with making the most money while offering the ABSOLUTE minimum service. Back when CenturyLink was qWest, you could actually contact your LOCAL company and get CS 24-7. You could TALK DIRECTLY with a LOCAL technician who could often fix phone & internet problems in under 5 minutes OVER THE FUCKING PHONE & problems they couldn't solve taken care of same day or within a day or two. Now you can only get anyone over their offshored customer DISservice with preliminary endless red-tape that must be repeated endlessly because their bot never understands anything & long hold times ***AND UNBELIEVABLY ONLY BETWEEN 9-6 MONDAY THRU FRIDAY***. And getting any repair at aLL IS ALWAYS at least a week out & NEVER AT A PRECISE TIME BUT ANYWHERE BETWEEN 9-9. YOU CAN GET UP TO 3 NO SHOWS WITH NO APOLOGIES MAKING IT WEEKS TO GET ANY RESOLUTION TO NEEDLESS PROBLEMS DUE TO NOT MAINTAINING THEIR LINES. We are disabled senior shut-ins with no transportation with a phone that needs repair about every 6 months & internet that must be reset sometimes 5x a day. At present our landline is dead & internet intermittent. We haven't mastered our POS TracFone bcause we don't have a 5-yo guru born with a cell on their hip to help us. We get our groceries delivered & because GPS never included our house, drivers can hardly ever find it , necesitating endless calls to yet another GILDED AGE ON STEROIDS clusterfucking CONGLOMERATE CRIMINAL WHO' HAS GOTTEN BY WITH MURDER FOR DECADES, WHO COULD GIVE A SHIT ABOUT ACTUALLY SERVING YOU. THIS IS AN ABSOLUTELY DEADLY SITUATION WHEN SENIORS CANT GET ***TIMELY*** EMERGENCY SERVICES.

    If you haven't fixed the employee engagement/experience problem, you should have no expectation that leadership development will work. How can it, when the training is complete, the students are left with the same culture that drives them nuts.

    Your assessment may be due to your age and lack of hands-on corporate leadership. Can you share examples of the leadership transformations you have delivered or identified? If leadership is indeed changing, where are the results manifesting? Who are the "WE" you refer to? Were your leaders bad, or were you a bad employee? There's a theme to your frequent stories about bad bosses. How hard and for how long did you try to work with a bad leader? What efforts did you make to improve the relationship? A CEO asking you to get him a cup of coffee hardly makes him a bad boss. Of the 140 CEOs answering the "first question," how did you decide what their answers meant? You'll only know what makes a good leader once you spend a few years working with the existing leadership team, their culture, and politics and accomplishing your goals in that environment.

    Program suggestions like this only serve to teach bad leaders how to act like good leaders imo A truly good leader needs to be spotted, not made. If you were to “make” a good leader it would require more time than the company or organization has. USMC boot camp or BUDS isn’t in the budget. Part of the issue is as companies increasingly focus on soft skills and on the social aspects of business, they neglect the fact that terrible leaders with kiss up personalities and or manipulative tendencies will always rise to the top. Less “training” (that doesn’t work) and more gathering opinions from coworkers on if someone is fit for a position. This would be appropriate.

    In my experience, the family concept no longer exist. It's no longer about 10 to 20 years tenure. But in saying that, some people don't like change, therefore they like the attachment of people, it's a safe space. However, the workplace was forced to change due to the pandemic and I think that change became easier e.g. moving from one job to another and also due to skills improvement.

    decent thoughts lol.... but companies do NOT sit down and say "hmmm... jacob has been coming into the office everyday!!! that shows leadership skills!! lets make him CEO!". that just doesn't happen. Companies do NOT care about you or your goals, they simply wish to get as much profit from you in your short life as possible. I agree with the creativity points you made, but otherwise disagree with your video. I have met managers that are fully remote (and were the best managers I've had) and I have had CEOS and other executives that NEVER show up in the office.

    Great video! As a chess player with a rating of over 2000 for many years, my view of the chess skills applied to the business/life are 1. You plan your outcome many moves in advance. The better your opponent the more you need to plan. As a result, you may not in a strong situation until many moves later, but your goal is to win the game. I have had to plan over 20 plus moves in advance for some opponents. 2. You make sacrifices to lead your opponent down a path where you will be victorious. As a lawyer and in business transactions I have used this tactic all the time where my opponent thought they were winning based on the small sacrifices I gave. So keeping your emotions in check and staying with the plan is critical. 3. You are cautious with every move you make. You look first several times before you make a move without ever being careless. As in chess and real life you cannot undo moves. 4. You understand the skill level of your opponent, are they setting you up for a latter defeat or are they simply inexperienced and making foolish moves. 5. You understand the personality of your opponent. Are they ethical, are they an attacker, are they passive, what is their style of play. 6 You understand the strengths and weakness of your opponent. Which pieces do they favor, and which pieces are they willing to sacrifice. 7. After you win, you compliment your opponent on their play and never gloat on your victory. In the business world if you opponent feels they lost they will try to sue or get revenge in some way. This is not the movies where people just walk away. 8. You review your last matches and you try to improve in the future. You get coaches, expert advice, read, watch UA-cam videos and learn from your peers. However you need to constantly improve to get your rating higher.

    Every living thing is imperfect because that’s what makes it unique and special. Everything has strengths and weaknesses, and the flaws are what makes the positives valuable. Imperfections are why there is diversity, variety, and possibilities, and I wouldn’t have it any other way. Great video by the way.

    My question is why do I have to do this? Why do I have to care?How another person feels thats Their own problem mot mine. I will not put myself in a position to be vulnerable ever

    • @AlaaAyman-tb2zm
      @AlaaAyman-tb2zm 15 днів тому

      Mostly, it depends on who this other person is, and the level of care and relationship, but for example, if this is person is one of your team members, you may want to care, to leave an impact, to create trust, to create a meaningful environment where they all feel appreciated, included and understood, and when you start wanting to do this for other, you may start feeling that this what you want to be done for you, just the same appreciation and understanding, you may at sometimes need to be felt, and understood, Same goes to your family members. I understand that sometimes when people imagine feeling every body's emotions and perspectives, and the vulnerability that comes with it, it seems like an overload of emotions and information, and here comes the part of the Healthy Empathy, where you become empathetic in the situations that needs you to be. Hope this answers your question :)

You’d think that would speed things up. They’ve been digging and running lines for 12 years. I still have fiber lines running over the top of my house not activated yet. What would be helpful is if you could find a single example of a company that embraced the need to address EE/EX and successfully transformed EX to the extent that the transformation impacted company performance. The EE/EX tools, experts, authors, seminars, and webinars have grown exponentially for decades, yet the needle, according to Gallup's 2024 assessment, has gone down again. It's no secret there are successful companies, but featuring the successful ones' suggesting that "you too can be successful" without any examples of transformation occurring isn't helpful. Here's what ALL the experts avoid. Citing examples of successful EX transformations, the process used, how it was led, what the baseline was, how long it took to manifest in the income statement, how the results were measured, the cost, and whether the transformation was sustainable. This is a multibillion-dollar business with little in the way of results. "Hey, look what they did" is hardly a solution.
